Join the City of Fort Collins on a bike tour to learn about a few sustainability projects implemented by various City departments. Meet at City Hall near the Electric Vehicle charging stations
October 10th, 7:30 p.m. — 9:00 p.m., Odell’s Brewery
Join DENC on October 10th at Odell Brewing Company for a free EV-Inspired beer and a Fireside Chat with Tony Posawatz, who worked as Vehicle Line Director for the Chevrolet Volt from 2006 to 2012.
Posawatz began working with General Motors in 1980. He rose through the ranks from assembly-plant foreman to the executive level, eventually working as Vehicle Line Director for the Volt beginning in 2006. After helping to develop and launch the Volt, Posawatz retired from GM in July 2012. Additionally, Posawatz was previously Chairman of the Board of the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA).
Posawatz currently serves as President & CEO of Invictus iCAR LLC, an automotive innovation consulting and advisory firm focused on assisting a number of auto clean tech companies. He most recently served as President & CEO of Fisker Automotive, producer of the award-winning Karma plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, from August 2012 to August 2013. He also served on the Fisker Automotive Board of Directors during this timeframe and currently serves on other boards as well.
October 11th, 11:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m., Downtown Fort Collins
Join Drive Electric Northern Colorado on October 11th from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. to test drive a variety of Electric Vehicle models including the Nissan LEAF, the Chevy Volt, the BMW i3 and other models. Produced by the Fort Collins Cycling Team, Cross of the North is a 3-day event that showcases the Larimer County lifestyle. The event will not only feature the opportunity to test drive an Electric Car, but you will also be able to enjoy bike racing, a kids zone, vendor expo and more!
